Charles Owens, a proud member of
BSDC II. I’ve been dancing for approximately 10 years starting at Victory Christian Center (VCC), eventually moving on to dancing in high school: Franklin Learning Center (FLC), also taking classes at various dance schools. Nonetheless all being great experiences, however in my many years of dancing very few times have I felt as welcomed as this Company has made me feel. The devotion, dedication, & pure energy across the board just speaks volumes to how true the company is to what we stand for, that being to BRare, BNotice, & BYou! BSDC has quickly become one of the pillars in my life and I am highly grateful to be apart of such a sensational Company!”
Nadya Cherry, 19 years old and is a member of BSDC II. She began her journey at age 12 at Dance Journey Performing Arts Center in 2015, and has grown a passion for it. Nadya has trained with many companies under amazing instructors. Nadya attended CAPA high school on Broad street majoring in dance. She was previously the Captain of En’Lair dance company and graduated in 2021. Nadya says that joining BSDC continues to challenge her through movement and creative expression. She is forever grateful to be able to dance beside such positive artists every week!
Naveah Stewart, 17 years old. I absolutely love being apart of BSwan Dance Company. With developing my love for dance at the age of 2 and training in Dance School with many opportunities offered over the years. I definitely found where I want be in order to pursue what I love. It’s rewarding knowing that I am able to dance with so many talented and unique individuals. I wouldn’t trade this for anything else!! As the motto states, I will always remember to "BRare BNoticed BYou."
Nyla Anderson, a student at CAPA. I’ve been dancing for 13 years in which time I’ve attended two dance schools until I joined BSwan Dance Center, but I couldn’t have been happier when I was awarded a scholarship into BSwan Dance Company because I found a home and this home couldn’t be better. It’s not just about dance, the experiences and the people I’ve come across and began to love makes everything worth it when I touch the floor.
Arielle Ellison, also known as Arie has been dancing since the age of 3 (20 years), dancing at Pointe Flex Dance Studio. She is trained in every genre of dance, with Ballet being her favorite and main focus throughout the years. After graduating high school and returning home from college, Arie is now in her third year of teaching at Pointe Flex. As of January 2022, Arielle is proud to be one of the newest members of BSDC Company II. This has been a challenging yet very fulfilling experience, reminding Arie why she fell in love with dance in the first place. She is extremely excited to be performing again after almost 3 years.
Dyaja Scott, been dancing on and off since the age of 2. Throughout my life I have taken on numerous genres of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, acrobats, modern, hip hop, praise & African. Becoming a member of BSDC has not only been a great accomplishment of mine, but has also been a way for me to grow tremendously as a dancer. Being a part of the company has also allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people. I am so excited to be here & even more excited to continue my dance journey with BSDC.
